Commercial Work

This Gallery features shots used by clients and friends for their businesses.

  • This is a shot done in my home studio of a Liquivision Dive computer. The company is out of Canada, and I did their product and branding shots for this product.
  • The demo for this dive computer is highly trained, rugged, generally cold water divers. This shot supports the branding of this product into the demographic.
  • Placing this product with the items divers within the demographic are associated with, including a spool, SMB, scooter, canister light and regulator.
  • This was shot during a Reef Check training session in Southern California. The shot represents the iconic elements of Reef Check:- Slate- Transect Line (tape)- A Rocky ReefThe shot was ultimately used for their ads and other promotional materials as a representation for the organization.
  • This was a fund raising event for Reef Check.
  • Quest is a quarterly magazine published by Global Underwater Explorers. Quest seeks to help grow a global community that shares GUE's commitment to education, conservation and exploration.
  • The beautiful Sea Nettle (jelly) was shot in Monterey, CA.
  • To kick off the International Year of the Reef (2008) Reef Check International (www.reefcheck.org) had Daryl Hannah (actress, environmental activest, diver) and Dr. Sylvia Earle (oceanographer, explorer, author) sign the Internation Reef Rights Declaration.Reef Check showed up with a giant document and we went in. I took some test shots, then had Daryl and Dr. Earle come down and sign the document with an underwater pencil. It was a great moment. Then, they took off! The signing took about 8 or 9 minutes, then they just took off. I went to the Executive Director and motioned, {quote}I need to follow the talent{quote} so I dived with the two of them for about 35 minutes as they played and explored the reef.Someone handed Dr. Earle a small octopus, she handed it to Daryl. It inked and darted away as we all laughed. For the next half-hour, the two of them went into their own world of silent exploration. Dr Earle brought down a little camera, and had Daryl take pictures of her, and vice versa. At the end of the dive, Daryl didn't want to get out of the water. She doffed the Scuba gear and floated on her back in her fins and wetsuit like red-footed otter. I took so many shots of the dive I filled an entire card.It was 40 minutes I'll never forget.
  • I launched this site with a couple of buddies seeking a new level of discourse than we were seeing at most other Dive Forums. We launched DiveMatrix with the express purpose to focus on diving and the diving lifestyle. The site has continued to grow since launch with members in countries all around the world.I have dozens of galleries featuring over 1,200 images on DiveMatrix. This includes all of the photos for the banners, back grounds and templates.
